Dr Naqvi has been congratulated by the Prime Minister for her exceptional service and has appeared as an inspirational leader in the national press including the Financial Times, Daily Telegraph, Evening Standard, and on BBC radio.
Her NHS practice is at the Royal Brompton Hospital, the largest specialist heart and lung centre in the UK. She provides a comprehensive, high-quality, rapid one-stop diagnostic service, with same-day treatment where appropriate.

- Has led the Royal Brompton Paediatric Cardiology Network of 24 hospitals for more than a decade.
- Expert in Marfan syndrome and aortopathy, and a Trustee of the National Marfan Trust.
- Cares for babies, children and teenagers with all types of heart problems, providing a comprehensive diagnostic service including echocardiography, ECG and 24-hour ambulatory ECG monitoring.
Training
- Trained at Guy's and St Thomas' Medical School in London.
- Trained in adult cardiology, then completed general paediatric training in London and Birmingham, covering general paediatrics, neonatology, paediatric oncology and paediatric intensive care.
- Master's degree from the Institute of Child Health in London.
- Completed paediatric cardiology training in 2000, including at Guy's Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital.
Teaching & Research
- Runs regular courses in congenital echocardiography for national and international audiences, and teaches internationally on paediatric echocardiography.
- Research interests include speckle tracking echocardiography, fitness to fly in children with congenital heart disease, and 22q11.2 deletion syndrome.
- Has presented research internationally, including at world congresses of paediatric cardiology in Cape Town and Cairns.
- Awarded the Royal Society of Medicine Paediatric Prize and the British Congenital Cardiac Association Young Investigator Prize.
